About WIOA:
WIOA operates under NHES (New Hampshire Employment Security), and is an employment and training program funded by the U.S. Department of Labor to help Dislocated Workers and other Eligible Adults manage their careers with high-quality services, and to help U.S. companies find skilled workers.
- You have been recently laid-off or terminated from employment
- You are unemployed
- You are collecting Food Stamps or TANF
- You are employed and your income is below the self-sufficiency guideline (based on family size; see a Career Navigator for details)
- You are a displaced homemaker
- You are homeless
- You are an individual with a disability
WorkNowNH is a program available to all individuals on Medicaid and Expanded Medicaid (Granite Advantage).
This is a free program by NHES available to individuals enrolled in either the Granite AdvantageHealth Care Program or traditional Medicaid. WorkNowNH helps qualified individuals become job ready.
- $5,000 in tuition payments
- $500 for books, fees and supplies
- $160 a month for travel reimbursement up to 4 months
- $100 for child care registration fees
- 1-on-1 case management
- Referral to community services for those not yet ready for work
- Job search and job readiness assistance
- Referral services to education, training, and apprenticeship programs
- On-the-job training programs
- Direct job placement into employment
WorkReady NH
WorkReady NH is a tuition-free program designed to meet the needs of job seekers and career builders by providing training in specific skills that employers need in their current and future employees.

SNAP
SNAP is a program under the Department of Health & Human Services that supports good nutrition and health.
SNAP/ENT provides eligible people with benefits to buy food items at grocery stores, farmers markets and other approved food retailers. Based on eligibility there is benefits such as tuition reimbursement, book reimbursement, and travel reimbursement. You may qualify for food stamp/SNAP benefits depending on your household size, income, expenses and resources. You may qualify even if you own your home, have no home, live with someone else or live alone.
The Program gives deductions for things like housing costs, utilities, education, job training, medical costs, and childcare. Visit for more information and to enroll.Ìý
